NASHVILLE, Tenn. -– State Senator Ken Yager (R-Harriman) will host a free Grant Conference to improve the opportunities for citizens, organizations and government agencies to tap into a wide variety of grant funds available to them. The conference will be held on Thursday, August 29 at Roane State Community College, at 276 Patton Lane in Harriman.
“I am hosting this conference to provide useful information and contacts for local governments and non-profits in the 12the District with the goal of improving our communities,” said Senator Yager. “The conference will include many federal, state and local departments that have grant opportunities available to teach attendees the tools necessary to maximize chances for obtaining funds.”
The conference includes speakers from the East Tennessee Development District, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Roane County Government Accounting Department, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development , Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
