Sen. Gresham announces approval of bridge projects in 26th Senatorial District

(NASHVILLE, TN), September 11, 2009 – State Senator Dolores Gresham (R-Somerville) today announced that the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has approved 17 bridge projects in four counties in Senate District 26, which she represents. The projects were on the Transportation Infrastructure Improvement Bond
Program’s phase 1 selection list announced by TDOT today.

“I commend Commissioner Nicely and his staff for recommending these projects which were long-time deficiencies in our Senatorial District,” said Senator Gresham.  “All of these bridge repair projects are needed to keep our road system safe.  These counties have suffered with bridge deficiencies for many years and these improvements are a major step forward in making our streets safer.”
