Campbell County resident, Addison Dower, to be analyst for the Senate State and Local Government Committee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Local Campbell County resident, Addison Ayers Dower, has been named Research Analyst to the Tennessee Senate State and Local Government Committee.  Dower will serve as a top aide to Senator Ken Yager (R-Harriman), who is Chairman of the Committee, assisting him in analyzing legislation before members for their consideration on a wide range of topics.

“I am pleased Addison has accepted my offer to serve as Research Analyst for the Senate State and Local Government Committee,” said Senator Yager.  “We are very fortunate to have someone who is not only qualified, but from the 12th Senatorial district too.  I know she will make a great addition to our team.”

A LaFollette native, Dower is a graduate of Auburn University and the University of Memphis Humphreys School of Law.

The State and Local Government Committee has jurisdiction over legislation concerning all government entities, including municipalities, utility districts, the National Guard, veterans affairs, public lands and correctional institutions, to name a few.  The committee deals with election laws and state and local government boundary lines.  It also deals with state and local employees and any legislation dealing with local revenue and taxation.
