Tennessee General Assembly’s Joint Government Operations Committee to hear testimony regarding proposed EPA regulations

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee General Assembly’s Joint Government Operations Committee will meet on Tuesday, January 16 at 9:00 am in LP 16 to hear testimony regarding the proposed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations on the Clean Air Act – Section 111 (d) Carbon Emissions Rule and the Clean Water Act – Waters of the U.S. The meeting will focus on the effect the regulations will have on Tennessee.

Among those testifying will be Commissioner of Environment and Conservation Bob Martineau and Commissioner of Agriculture Julius Johnson, who will present the State of Tennessee’s official comments on the proposed rules. Others testifying include:
