Statement from Senator Ken Yager regarding election victory in Senate District 12

(KINGSTON, TN), November 7, 2012 – “Yesterday the voters of the 12th Senatorial District honored me and my family with an unprecedented complimentary re-election vote.  Our vote was the largest vote any candidate for the Senate in the 12th District has ever received.  By casting their ballots over 51,000 voters approved our efforts in the Senate to grow more jobs, demand accountability for public officials and stem the tide of widespread drug abuse.”

“I am grateful for the continued opportunity to serve and sincerely appreciate the voters’ confidence.  The campaign was a team effort.   Many people made our good vote possible.  Thanks to each volunteer who helped.”

“As we look to the future, I renew my pledge to stay in touch with my constituents in order to represent their views in the State Senate.  I thoroughly enjoy my service in the Senate and look forward to returning in January.”

“God bless the 12th District, the State of Tennessee and the United States of America.”
