(NASHVILLE, TN), August 11, 2015 — State Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston) has set the date for his third annual free “Grant Conference.” The purpose of the conference is to improve the opportunities for local citizens, organizations and governments to find and tap into a wide variety of grant funds available to them. The conference will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd at Roane State Community College, at 276 Patton Lane in Harriman in the Raider Room from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
“The conference will include many state and federal agencies that have grant opportunities available to teach attendees the tools necessary to maximize chances for obtaining funds,” said Yager. “This year we have included nonprofit foundations for local non-profits looking for grant scores.”
The conference is free of charge but all attendees can R.S.V.P. by calling Chad Phillips at (615) 741-1449 or email [email protected]
“We do not want our communities to miss any possible opportunity to receive funds that are available to us,” added Yager. “There is an art to applying for grants and I want as many local citizens, organizations, and government agencies as possible to be apprised of the best practices in this regards. The experts presenting at this conference will help us maximize our potential to help our communities tap into these funds.”
