State Senator Jim Tracy (R-Shelbyville) today announced that he has scheduled a Telephone Townhall Meeting to talk to citizens regarding issues before the Tennessee General Assembly and to listen to their concerns. Tracy says he also wants to be available to citizens who need assistance with state government services.
The call will take place on Tuesday, February 17 at 6:30 p.m. Citizens who would like to participate can dial toll free (877) 228-2184 and must enter the event identification 113133.
“The legislature is facing decisions that affect all citizens on many important issues such as education, our state budget, job growth, tax relief, and public safety.” said Senator Tracy. “I want to be open and available to hear from area citizens about these and other important issues facing Tennessee this year. My office will also offer assistance to constituents that call in who need help with state services.”
Senator Tracy is Chairman of the Senate Transportation and Safety Committee and serves as a member of the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee, the Senate Education Committee and the Joint Committee on Pensions and Insurance. He represents Bedford, Lincoln, Marshall, Moore and parts of Rutherford Counties in District 14 in the State Senate.
