Sen. Ferrell Haile elected Treasurer of Senate Republican Caucus

     (NASHVILLE, TN), December 12, 2012– State Senator Ferrell Haile (R-Gallatin) was elected by his colleagues to a key Senate Republican Caucus position today as Treasurer of the group.  The election took place as the Republican Caucus met in an organizational meeting of the group on Wednesday.

     “I look forward to serving the Caucus in this capacity and being a part of the leadership team in the Senate Republican Caucus,” said Sen. Haile, who was elected to Senate District 18 on November 6.  

     In other positions elected by the Caucus, Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey (R-Blountville) was re-elected as the Caucus nominee for Senate Speaker, Senator Mark Norris (R-Collierville) was re-elected Senate Majority Leader, Senator Bill Ketron (R-Murfreesboro) was re-elected Republican Caucus Chairman, Senator Bo Watson (R-Chattanooga) was re-elected Majority Whip, Senator Becky Massey (R-Knoxville) was elected Secretary and Senator Mark Green (R-Clarksville) was elected Chaplain.

     The 108th General Assembly is set to convene on January 8.
