Sen. Crowe will serve on two key select Oversight
(NASHVILLE, TN), February 25, 2009 — State Senator Rusty Crowe (R-Murfreesboro) has been appointed to serve on two key oversight committees in the Tennessee General Assembly. Crowe was appointed by Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey to serve on the Select Oversight Committee on TennCare and the Select Oversight Committee on Education.
“Education and health care are two key responsibilities of state government,” said Sen. Crowe. “They make up the vast majority of our state’s budget expenditures. It is critical that we have the appropriate oversight measures in place to make sure we maximize the performance of our state dollars in both of these areas for Tennessee to move forward. I look forward to that challenge.”
Senator Crowe is also Chairman of the General Welfare, Health and Human Resources Committee in the Senate.
