(NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 22, 2017) – Senator Rusty Crowe (R-Johnson City), Senator Jon Lundberg (R-Bristol), Representative John Holsclaw (R-Elizabethton) and Representative Timothy Hill (R-Blountville) announce ceremony to commemorate “LCpl Harold Wendell Wilson Memorial Bridge” on Happy Valley Road in Carter County.
“Through his life Lance Cpl. Harold Wendell Wilson exemplified a unique dedication to excellence and a love for his family, fellow soldiers and country,” said Senator Crowe. “He left Happy Valley for Vietnam where he made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, and we have him and thousands of others to thank for the freedoms we enjoy today.”
“He was one of the many courageous sons of Tennessee who stepped up from our community and made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We are pleased to have the opportunity to honor him in this way in the community he loved so dearly,” said Representative Holsclaw.
