(May 31, 2013, NASHVILLE) – Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey (R-Blountville) today announced the appointment of Senator Dolores Gresham (R-Somerville) to the Council of State Government’s Education Public Policy Committee.
“Senator Gresham is consistently at the forefront of our efforts to reform education in Tennessee,” said Lt. Governor Ramsey. “Her knowledge, expertise and passion for education is second to none. I am confident that she will excel on this committee and serve as an excellent role model for leaders in other states.”

CSG’s Education Public Policy Committee provides a forum for state leaders to address emerging challenges and issues arising from dynamic educational conditions. Members of the committee focus on emerging trends, innovative and effective solutions, and viable policy positions and response projects. During meetings, committee members may introduce and consider policy resolutions. The committee is designed to encourage multi-state problem solving and sharing of best practices, and to facilitate networking among state officials and between the public and private sectors.
