LOCAL COMPANIES TO PARTICIPATE IN SEVIER CO. JOB FAIR HOSTED BY SEN. OVERBEY

(NASHVILLE) — State Senator Doug Overbey (R–Maryville) announced today he has partnered with the Tennessee Department of Labor to host a job fair for the people of Sevier County and surrounding areas.  The job fair is scheduled for Thursday, October 10 ­­­­­ at the Sevierville Convention Center at 202 Gists Creek Road in Sevierville from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for local citizens seeking employment to meet employers who are looking to hire,” said Senator Overbey.  “I am very grateful to all of the employers who are participating and hopeful that this job fair will help many local citizens.  I encourage as many people as possible to attend.”

Interested job-seekers are not required to RSVP for this event. Formal resumes and other job experience paperwork are strongly encouraged.

Companies available on site to recruit new employees include:  Allied Barton, King University, Old Navy, BB&T, Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment, Dixie Stampede, Hampton Inn, Smoky Mountain Resorts, AtWork Personnel, Wilderness at the Smokies,  Labor Finders, Westgate Resorts, Westgate Resorts Food Service, Westgate Resort Sales and Marketing, LISEGA, Kroger, Comfort Inn and Suites, Wonderworks, Eddie Bauer, Direct Tools Factory Outlet, MasterCorp and more.

Senator Overbey lives in Maryville and represents District 2 in the State Senate, which includes Blount County and part of Sevier County.
