(NASHVILLE, TN) — State Senator Dolores Gresham (R-Somerville) today announced she is very pleased Spectrum Lubricants will expand their Selmer, Tennessee facility, creating 26 new full time jobs. Gresham’s statement comes after Governor Bill Haslam announced the $1.8 million investment on Monday.
“This is tremendous news,” said Senator Gresham. “We are delighted to have this major job investment in McNairy County.”
The Department of Economic and Community Development reported an investment of $5.29 million and 66 new jobs created in McNairy County in 2011. Gresham said the job growth in 2011 was also a result of expanding Tennessee businesses.
“I congratulate our local officials, our Economic Development Commission, Governor Haslam and officials at Spectrum Lubricants,” added Gresham. “We must continue our efforts to provide a quality education and improved infrastructure to keep expanding businesses here and to welcome new jobs from beyond our borders.”
