Senator Haile receives prestigious award for his efforts on behalf of abused and neglected children

SENATE HEALTH AND WELFARE COMMITTEE LOOKS AT WAYS TO PREVENT ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES IN TENNESSEE

NASHVILLE — The Senate Health and Welfare Committee tackled the problem of preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) during their recent fall meeting in Nashville, calling for more coordination to ensure at-risk children are being served.  Lawmakers on the committee heard from the state’s foremost experts representing various departments and agencies of state government and the Tennessee Academy of Pediatrics regarding actions being taken to prevent ACEs and its wide-ranging impact on Tennesseans.

Senator Haile appointed Deputy Speaker of the Tennessee Senate

(NASHVILLE, TN), January 12, 2017 – State Senator Ferrell Haile (R-Gallatin) has been appointed Deputy Speaker for the Tennessee Senate for the 110th General Assembly. The announcement was made by Lt. Governor Randy McNally as senators wrapped up a week of organizational duties for the 2017-2018 legislative sessions.

Haile was also appointed 1st Vice Chairman of the Senate Health and Welfare Committee and as a member of the Finance Committee and the Education Committee.

Senator Haile announces Funding Board Approval of Major Jobs Grant to ARC Automotive

NASHVILLE – State Senator Ferrell Haile (R-Gallatin) announced today that the Tennessee State Funding Board has approved three major economic development grants for ARC Automotive, Inc. in Trousdale County. The Funding Board approval comes after Haile worked with Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (ECD) to obtain the grant which was critical in locating the company’s manufacturing facility in Hartsville.
